Summer Beauty Favorites

Hey guys!

This is my first post on beauty products instead of on fashion.  It took me a while to figure out which products were my favorite and suited the summer style.  I hope you enjoy this post and if you do PLEASE click the Join this site button at the complete bottom of the page.  I will be posting throughout the summer about clothes, makeup, hair products, places to refer to, etc.  So today, I was inspired by the Makeup by Mandy 24 channel on YouTube.  I find her makeup tutorials are very well done and that she is amazing and original.  I will link my favorite video down below and before you go watch it, you can read all about the products I absolutely adore!

Here is the list of where I got each product:

• Bath and body works: Carried away body lotion
• Pharmacy: Sally Hansen Xtreme wear nail polishes
• Pharmacy: Maybeline Concealer 20
• Sephora: Lise Watier lipsticks and lip gloss

I'm going to show you my top eight products, the last, being my absolute favorite.

8.  Monoï Nourishing Milk

This is a cream that moisturizes your skin and has a nice coconut smell.  It is very easy to apply because you can just spray it on and it is as simple as that.

7. Carried Away Body Lotion

This cream smells amazing like most of the bath and body works products.  I personally use it as a hand cream because my hands are often dry and since it also has a very good scent, it can replace perfume.

6. Maybeline Concealer 20

This concealer it super easy to apply and there is a variety of skin tones which are easy to match your own.  I have the 20 because it isn't too light and isn't too dark.

5. Lise Watier Lipsticks and Glosses

I love these colors because you can mix them up together, they match with almost everything!  They are easy to apply and they aren't too bright.

4. ArtDeco Glam Stars Lip Gloss

This is my ultimate favorite lip gloss ever because it is so shiny but has a champaign color twist to it that makes it unique.

3. Lise Watier Duo Mineral Eyes

This eyeshadow is a duo pack, so there are two different colors in the same box.  They are very subtle but they still stand out (depending on how much you apply).  The colors really match the lip gloss above and look amazing all the time.

2. Sally Hansen Nailpolishes

These are my two all time favorite nailpolishes because the colors and perfect and I find them super fun to wear, especially during the summer season.  The blue one is called Pacific Blue and the purple one is called Lacy Lilac.

1. Moroccanoil Treatment Oil

In the first place, I chose the Moroccanoil treatment oil because all my friends were talking about it and I decided to get it and when I tried it on, I fell in love with it.  It really makes your hair silky, without being oily and the color stands out more.  It is amazing and definitely a must-have.

Simply Chic

Being chic does not always have to mean wearing a lot of jewelry, being in a dress, etc.  It can simply mean putting together something that is casual but classy.  In other words, a good look is not always complicated, it is most often simple.  Stores are packed with summer clothes, so don't forget to go shopping!  While the weather goes from cold to warm and back to cold again, various kinds of outfits are needed in your closet.  Lately, it has been humid, warm and breezy.  I have come up with an outfit that combines cold & warm and cloudy & sunny.  The outfit below can be worn to go shopping, walk around in the street, etc.  Basically, it is just casual wear.

• Lace blouse: Winners
• Turquoise shorts: Vintage Havana (my favorite brand!)
• Shoes: Gucci, The Baie
• Sunglasses: H&M
• Bracelet: Forever XXI
• Bow: I have no idea, although you can get many cute ones at American Apparel

Stand Out

Clothing defines your personality.  I believe that the most important thing in clothes is whether or not they define you.  Sometimes, all you see in a crowd of people is a mob, where everyone looks the same. Furthermore, fashion magazines influence many individuals.  Although, they should be used for inspiration, not for copying.  Who says if something looks good on someone in a magazine, it will look good on you?  Choose and develop your own style and stand out of the crowd.  Wear what you love and make your own creations.

Here are the components of the outfit I put together. 

• Pink tank top: Brand: Splendid  Store: Style Exchange
• Blouse: Tommy Hilfiger
• Pants: American Eagle
• Sunglasses: Aldo
• Longchamps bag

I thought that this outfit would be a cute way of ending the spring season and starting the summer season.  Instead of wearing a light sweater over your shoulders, a blouse would be more original, especially with a nice pattern.

And finally, if the weather is cold outside, you can even wear the blouse on top.

Lululemon...my favorite!

I love lululemon because the clothing is so comfortable and the vivid colors are gorgeous!  I do a lot of sports, therefore I got a few things.

In this pile of clothes seen above, there are two tank tops for the summer, when it gets hot out:

There is also a pair of tight shorts for doing sports like canoeing or windsurfing.  There is a colored band at the top, although they are reversible so they can also be completely black:

There is also a super cute watershirt for doing activities in the water or by the beach:

And finally, a sweatshirt that I love because it is so warm and the color is very vibrant.  It really looks green in the picture below, but it is more of a bright yellow/lime green color.

I would like to firstly introduce myself and tell you what my intentions are in creating my new blog.  My name is Alice and I hope I will be able to share my style with you.  This is my first blog ever and I am very excited to post and share things I love.  I have always loved fashion, although in stores, I never really found clothing that suited my personality.  I like to buy things I love like certain t-shirts, sweaters, pants, etc. and then match them up with different things, unlike the outfits ready in the store.  I absolutely adore rompers because they are so pretty and so comfortable!  In my blog, I will post pictures of clothing or outfits I bought and arranged and extra accessories or random objects that can compliment my style.  I hope you will enjoy my blog and will be inspired by my wild style.
